What is VAŠKA?

Vaška is a textile atelier exploring the potential of old textiles and clothes — prolonging their life and inviting us to be more present with the pieces we buy and wear.

The main focus is on one-of-a-kind reworked and multifunctional clothing, alongside vintage pieces, textile accessories and home decor. Old materials are altered, combined and given new forms, functions and possibilities.

Inspired by Slovenian traditions, slow making and village life, Vaška brings together the familiar and the unexpected. The result is handmade, a little raw, with a touch of playfulness.

The atelier is run by Nina Tomažin, a textile and fashion designer with a love for nature, old fabrics and clothes, instinctive making and finding new possibilities in things that already exist.
